Change or reset your password

Change it from your profile when you know it, reset it by email when you do not.

Two situations, two routes.

You know your password and want a new one

  1. Open your profile from the top-right menu.
  2. Find the password section.
  3. Enter your current password, then the new one twice.
  4. Save.

The new password applies immediately. You are not signed out of the browser, but the desktop app may ask you to sign in again.

You have forgotten it

  1. On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password.
  2. Enter the email address on your account.
  3. Open the email and follow the link.
  4. Set a new password.

Reset links expire and can be used once. If yours has expired, request another. The old one cannot be revived.

The email has not arrived

Check spam. Confirm you used the address you signed up with. A reset request for an unknown address does not tell you it is unknown, for security reasons, but it does mean nothing arrives. Company mail filters occasionally hold automated mail, so if nothing gets through at all, contact support.

Choosing a password

Length beats complexity. A passphrase of several unrelated words is both stronger and easier to type than a short string of symbols. The strength meter on the form is a guide, not a target.

Do not reuse a password from another service. If that service is breached, your work account goes with it.

After changing it

  • Sign in again on the desktop app if it asks.
  • Update it in your password manager.
  • Your password is the same across every organization your account belongs to.

If you think somebody else has your password

Change it immediately, then tell your administrator so they can check what was accessed.
