StaffVertex notifies you about work that involves you: a project assigned, an invoice generated, an invitation accepted, a plan limit reached. You can tune it.
Reading them
The bell in the top bar lists everything recent. Notifications are also sent by email where that channel is enabled.
Changing what you get
Open Notification settings from the top-right menu. Each type of notification is listed with the delivery channels available to you, and you switch off whatever you do not want.
Why a switch is greyed out
Two possible reasons, and the page tells you which:
- "Your organization has turned this delivery channel off for your role." An administrator decided this role does not receive that notification by that channel. It is not yours to re-enable.
- "Your role doesn't receive this organization-wide notification." The notification exists, but for another role. Billing alerts go to whoever handles billing.
Some notifications exist so that somebody definitely finds out, and an individual opting out of those would defeat the point.
A sensible setup
- Keep anything that assigns you work or asks you to act.
- Keep invoices if you are involved in getting paid.
- Turn down broad activity notifications if the bell is drowning you.
- Do not turn off everything. The next thing you miss will be the one that mattered.
For administrators
Which notifications each role receives is set in Settings → Notification Settings, per role instead of per person. Check it after creating a role, or nobody in that role will hear about invitations, invoices or plan limits.
