Built because tracking the work was harder than doing it
StaffVertex started in 2026 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. A small team of engineers and designers, one product, and a short list of things we want to do properly.

Teams spent longer logging the work than doing it
The tools we had asked people to remember what they did, then held the guesswork against them. They added friction and produced numbers nobody quite believed.
So we built the other thing. The web app runs on Next.js. The desktop app for Windows and macOS is offline-first: it writes every minute to disk before it sends anything to a server, which is why a dropped connection never costs you a time log.
We are early, and we would rather do a few things very well. Accurate tracking that respects privacy. Reporting a manager can read without a walkthrough. Settings an administrator can match to the labour and data-protection rules of the places they work in.
Mission
Give a team an honest record of its day without turning the day into admin.
Vision
Tracking that looks after itself, so the reporting is finished before anyone asks for it.

Four things, done properly
One platform, from the first minute tracked to the invoice.
Time tracking
One click starts the timer. The desktop app records the hours, sorts apps and sites into categories, and keeps counting when the connection drops.
Project management
Projects, tasks and dependencies, so nobody starts work that is still blocked. Every task carries the hours that went into it.
Analytics and reporting
Timesheets, activity and billable hours by person or by project. Export them, or turn them straight into an invoice.
Teams and permissions
Roles and teams decide who sees what. Administrators set screenshots, idle rules and time zones for the whole organisation.

Accuracy
A number nobody trusts is worse than no number. We would rather record less and be right about it.

Transparency
People can see what is recorded about them. Screenshots are optional, can be blurred, and stay off until an administrator turns them on.

Reliability
Nothing reaches the server before it is written to disk. A dropped connection is not a lost day.

Usefulness
Every setting has to earn its place. A feature that only makes the product look bigger does not ship.
