Plans, seats and limits

What your plan controls, how seats are counted, and why clients are free.

Your subscription decides two things: how many people you can have, and which features are switched on.

Seats

Each member takes one seat. Your plan sets a maximum, and you are stopped from inviting past it. The invite form tells you instead of failing silently.

Clients do not take a member seat. Clients and auditors have their own separate allowance, so giving a client visibility never costs you a licence.

Two things to know about seats:

  • Archiving does not free a seat. Only removing a member does.
  • Pending invitations count. Somebody invited but not yet signed up is holding a place.

Feature limits

Plans also gate features. Depending on yours, some of these may be limited or unavailable: screenshot capture and how often it may run, idle detection, application and website tracking, manual time entry, the task board, project reports, report export, and invoicing.

Where a feature is not on your plan you see a lock and an upgrade link instead of a missing page, so it is always clear what is happening and what would change it.

Storage

Screenshots consume storage, and your plan sets how much. When you reach the limit, capture pauses until you upgrade. Hours keep being tracked either way, so nothing is lost from your timesheets.

Shortening screenshot retention frees space without an upgrade, and is often the better answer.

Where to look

Settings → Subscription & Billing shows your current plan, what you are using against each limit, your payment method and your past receipts.

Trials

Where a plan offers a trial, it runs at full capability for its length. You are reminded before it ends. Adding a payment method before the end avoids the interruption of it lapsing.
