What each member status means

Currently working, offline, pending profile, deleted, left, and what the Members tabs are showing you.

The Members page shows a status against each person. They mean specific things.

Live statuses

  • Currently Working: a timer is running for them right now.
  • Offline: no timer running. Not a judgement, just the resting state.
  • Pending Profile: they have accepted the invitation but not finished filling in their profile. They can still work.

Ended memberships

  • Deleted: an administrator removed them. They can be restored.
  • Left: the membership ended from their side. This cannot be undone, so re-invite them if they return.

Both appear under Past Members. Neither is shown in red, because a past member is a historical record and not an error, and their tracked time stays in every report and invoice.

The tabs

  • Active members: everyone currently in the organization.
  • Past members: people who have been removed or have left.
  • Pending invitations: invited but not yet signed up. Re-send or revoke from here.
  • Pending requests: people asking to join, waiting for approval.

Archived members

An archived member is deactivated but still in the organization. They cannot sign in, and their history stays intact. Use it for someone on extended leave, or a contractor between engagements.

One thing to know: archiving does not free their seat. Only removing someone does. If you are archiving people to get under a plan limit, it will not work.

Past members in reports

Reports have a show past members option. It is on by default in the finance reports, because leaving out somebody who worked half the period would make the totals wrong. Turn it off only when you want the current team's picture specifically.
